Developed by GameBerry Studio, Spooky Block Blast is an endless Halloween-themed block puzzle game set on a 9x9 grid. Your goal is to place spooky shapes to form complete vertical or horizontal lines, win points, and clear them from the board. There are no traditional levels to progress through; simply complete as many lines as you can to earn the highest score possible and set a new personal best.
As with the original famous game, you are given a set of 3 spooky shapes at a time, and you can’t rotate them. You need to place them all on the grid before another set displays. Keep filling the boards with different shapes until none of the available shapes can fit.
Drag shapes one by one onto the grid to fill an entire horizontal row or vertical column, clearing them and opening space for future pieces. Don't isolate one or two tiles, as this makes it harder to create lines in future moves. Of course, strategic planning is a must, especially when bulky blocks appear more often over time. Random moves won’t help much!
Whenever possible, position a piece so it completes more than one line at once. For example, one shape might finish a horizontal row while simultaneously completing one or two vertical columns. This type of move helps remove a large amount of clutter at once.
In Spooky Block Blast, when you form a square or triangle with at least 6 tiles of the same color, they become one shape only. More interestingly, when this special shape is within a complete row or column, the whole shape disappears together with that line. This new mechanic does give you another tool to clear space faster.
Build space instead of simply filling space. Instead of filling every convenient empty area, think about preserving useful spaces. Plan to leave room for larger or awkward shapes and avoid creating tiny isolated gaps.
Plan all three together. Take a look at all three shapes and decide where each could go before the move.
Protect a 3×3 space. Try to maintain at least one spacious area that can accommodate a large block instead of gradually filling every corner.
Keep the center flexible. The center connects multiple rows and columns, so keep it open to create future clears, even multiple clears, more easily.
