Vex 9 is the latest installment in the popular Vex game series. This version features significantly improved movement mechanics and challenging level designs.

To complete an Act, it’s a must to master the controls and survive plenty of traps and hazards using reflexes, timing, and smart moves to deal with puzzle-style platforms.

Master the controls and keep these gameplay tips in mind:

Controls

A/D or Left/Right Arrow keys: Move left/right.

W or up arrow key: Jump.

S or the Down Arrow key: Slide / Crouch.

Space: Use jetpack / special action.

Start the parkour run and combine running, jumping, and sliding

Your basic objective is to navigate the course, reach checkpoints, and reach the green portal at the end to complete the current Act. As usual, movement is the heart of Vex 9; you’ll need to:

• Run across safe platforms
• Jump over spikes and gaps
• Slide/crouch under low obstacles
• Wall-move through sections that require vertical climbing

Aim to chain your movements smoothly without losing momentum while mastering your movement timing for safe landings on narrow platforms.

Master the new jetpack & reach checkpoints

Red flags act as checkpoints, where you will start a new attempt after a failure. As for the jetpack, you need it for aerial movement. Get accustomed to this new mechanic and learn to control your height and time your boosts carefully. Do not use too much aerial movement when unnecessary.

Tips and tricks

Observe before acting, time your jumps precisely, and combine jumps with slides to maintain smooth momentum.

Use the jetpack properly. Use it at the right moment to fly across wide gaps and tricky landings instead of burning aerial control immediately.

Utilize the slide move to survive when encountering low-hanging traps or narrow passages.

Look beyond the next platform. Look ahead to where you need to land and what comes immediately afterward. Remember, a safe landing can still leave you in a dangerous position.

Don't chase every coin. Coins placed in tricky positions aren't worth sacrificing a safe run. Secure the route and complete the Act first, then return for difficult coins.
